Digital publishing provider Texterity, Inc. announced today that it has launched Coverleaf.com, a digital magazine service where readers can browse through categories of magazines, pick one off of a "digital shelf" and view its contents.
Readers can see the entire table of contents, click on any article, clip pages to share with friends, and preview any magazine at no cost. They then can subscribe to either the print or digital versions of a magazine, or buy a single copy of a current or back issue of a digital magazine.
So far, about 20 titles are available on the site from publishers, including Meredith, F+W, Disney, Mansueto Ventures and Working Mother.
Texterity president Martin Hensel calls Coverleaf.com a "win-win for subscribers and publishers."
"In today's increasingly competitive publishing landscape, plugged-in consumers approach their media in a 360. manner," Hensel said in a statement. "Coverleaf offers a dynamic online magazine browsing experience that allows readers to engage with the content and style of their favorite magazines in exciting ways that compliment the print version of the magazine."
